TOP Principles of practical life exercises in Montessori
Here are my top Montessori principles which can be used whether or not you own conventional Montessori materials. These principles are useful for practically any preschooler. To me, they fit with learning that is natural since they match without requiring a particular stuff, natural needs are ’sed by young kids.
DON’T INTERRUPT YOUR CHILD’S WORK CYCLE. LET YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER DEVELOP AN EVER-INCREASING ABILITY TO CONCENTRATE.
Tests, competition, rewards, and punishments aren’t required. Your child will acquire a feeling of satisfaction over work well done.
FOLLOW THE KID. THE. MOST. SIGNIFICANT. PRINCIPLE. FOR ANY AGE.
Individualize learning for your unique kid ’s needs and interests. In Montessori, monitoring your kid to see what your kid’s needs and interests are and by valuing – honoring – those needs and interests does this.
PROVIDE CHILD-SIZE STUFF (AND REAL CHILD-SIZE TOOLS) WHEREVER POSSIBLE.
Place substances on trays on shelves that were low, letting your child the possibility to select their own work and to repeat tasks as often as needed.
MAKE ATTRACTIVE AND YOUR KID’S ENVIRONMENT AS ORDERLY AS POSSIBLE.
Your child is assisted by a surroundings that is orderly in developing wisdom and mental sequence.
VALUE AND ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD’S ABSORBENT MIND AND SENSITIVE PERIODS.
